ServeMontana Awards

 

The ServeMontana Awards, brought to you by the Governor's Office of Community Service and the Montana Commission on Community Service, celebrates extraordinary citizens who selflessly give back to their communities. Anyone and everyone can be nominated for their exceptional volunteerism, and winners will be handpicked by the members of The Montana Commission on Community Service. Join us in honoring these incredible individuals!

2024 ServeMontana Award Categories: 
Individual
  • Youth (17 years old and younger)
  • Young Adult (18 to 25 years old)
  • Engaged Citizen (26+ years old)
  • Lifetime Achievement (55+ or posthumous)
  • Veteran or current Military Personnel
  • AmeriCorps Alum (State & National, VISTA, or NCCC)

Groups
  • Group Service Award (nonprofit, faith-based, general): This category honors a team of people who positively impact their community through meaningful volunteer service.
  • Business Service Award (small, mid-size, large, entrepreneur/ partnership, enterprise/ corporation): This category honors a business that has made an impact through community volunteerism or has a record of supporting volunteerism through policies and practices.

Eligibility: A ServeMontana Award nominee embodies a strong commitment to others through community volunteerism, exhibits leadership through serving, and impacts change outside of paid employment. The public is encouraged to nominate individuals of all ages and backgrounds, organizations, and service groups. All service must be performed in Montana or by Montanans and all nominations must be submitted during the nomination period - nominations submitted through other means will not be accepted. 

Selection: The Montana Commission on Community Service, a Governor-appointed body dedicated to promoting service in Montana, select the award winners. 

Nominations for the 2025 ServeMontana Awards will open this winter.
