The Governor’s Office of Community Service, known as ServeMontana, and the Commission on Community Service work to increase national service and volunteer opportunities in Montana. AmeriCorps offers meaningful service options through various programs, such as AmeriCorps State & National, NCCC, VISTA, and AmeriCorps Seniors.

The Montana State Service Plan is required for funding from AmeriCorps and is created based on a statewide community needs assessment, AmeriCorps focus areas, Governor priorities, and local needs. The 2022-2024 State Service Plan sets the goals and objectives for the Commission on Community Service for the next three years.
