Big Sky Watershed Corps

Big Sky Watershed Corps AmeriCorps members contribute innovation and skills within watershed organizations and mobilize volunteers to improve at-risk ecosystems at the headwaters of our nation’s greatest rivers. Montana Public Health Corps

Montana Public Health Corps, supported by the Richland County Health Department, addresses needs in rural, frontier, and tribal health departments across Montana. The program helps departments develop and implement best practices based on community health assessments to encourage a better quality of life. This is accomplished through collaboration in areas such as mental health concerns, suicide prevention, youth outreach, and establishing healthy lifestyles, among others. www.richland.org/448/Communities-in-Action


Montana Campus Compact

Montana Campus Compact AmeriCorps connects over 50 college student AmeriCorps members with first generation and low-income Montanans, helping open the doors to postsecondary education. MTCC is an affiliate of the national Campus Compact movement, with eighteen Montana colleges and universities actively engaging in community partnerships, service-learning, and volunteerism. mtcompact.org/mtcc-americorps


Justice for Montanans Project

The Justice for Montanans AmeriCorps Project empowers low to moderate income Montanans to advocate for their legal rights and increase their access to justice. This project is a great opportunity for individuals to help others while gaining experience in the legal realm and building connections with other professionals across the state. Members perform a variety of duties including expanding intake processes, serving clients directly, providing legal information and referrals, helping attorneys with case management, and much more."   justiceformontanans.org


Montana State Parks AmeriCorps

Montana State Parks AmeriCorps promotes healthy, active, and environmentally aware communities by enhancing park land, enriching educational opportunities, building volunteer capacity, and strengthening community outreach in state parks. Billings Metro VISTA Project

The Billings Metro VISTA Project seeks to give people in poverty the tools they need to help themselves. Montana Campus Compact VISTA

The Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) AmeriCorps VISTA program, referred to as MTCC VISTA, is a statewide National Service program that connects campus resources with critical community needs. MTCC AmeriCorps VISTAs serve from Montana college campuses and in partnership with community-based organizations, nonprofit's, schools, and faith-based organizations. Montana Community VISTA Partnership

The Montana Community VISTA Partnership connects Montana communities, the Interagency Coordinating Council for State Prevention Programs, and AmeriCorps VISTA throughout Montana. Rural Dynamics, Inc. (RDI)

Guided by the mission of RDI to bring financial security to all Montanans, Montana Economic Opportunity (MEO) VISTAs develop financial literacy programs, work to make affordable housing available, and strategize ways to help under-employed and unemployed Montanans find a stable and livable income. MEO VISTAs partner with local agencies to leverage poverty reduction resources and strengthen community volunteerism throughout Montana. ruralvista.org

Montana Conservation Corps

Montana Conservation Corps (MCC) weaves together leadership development, teamwork, and skills training with direct service to improve trails and habitat in some of America's most wild lands - places like Yellowstone, Glacier, the Bob Marshal Wilderness, and Missouri River Breaks. MCC helps members develop competencies for achieving success. Through service, AmeriCorps members experience the full measure of their character and discover their capacity to lead positive change in their lives and communities. Habitat for Humanity AmeriCorps

Habitat for Humanity AmeriCorps members fulfill three goals: to "get things done" by building and renovating houses with  low-come families; to strengthen communities by enabling the affiliate to utilize more volunteers more effectively; and to develop construction and leadership skills. With Habitat AmeriCorps, you have the opportunity to serve in your community or in one of our locations throughout the United States. Opportunities are available year-round, but most positions are posted in the spring and fall.  habitat.org


Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest

The Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest AmeriCorps program members serve in communities throughout Montana. Some Montana members serve in rural towns to boost educational achievement among Native American children, while others serve in domestic violence shelters, mental health clinics, and a variety of other local settings. JVCNW serves those in need, but also examines and acts upon the causes of social and environmental injustice to promote peace and build a spirit of togetherness. jvcnorthwest.org.

AmeriCorps NCCC Pacific Region

AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps’ (NCCC) mission is to strengthen communities and grow into a leader through team-based national service. In the Traditional program, you will complete at least three projects in different areas of your assigned region to address environmental stewardship, infrastructure improvement, natural and other disasters, urban and rural development, and energy conservation. For a more focused experience in the area of disaster management, join AmeriCorps NCCC’s FEMA Corps program
