Calvin Burr Recognized as Volunteer of the Game

The Governor’s Office of Community Service will recognize Calvin Burr, of Havre, as the “Volunteer of the Game” during Saturday’s Grizzly home game.

Where: Washington-Grizzly Stadium, Missoula
Note: Calvin Burr will be recognized at the game, but will not be in attendance.

Calvin Burr is being recognized for his decades of service to the Havre community. A dedicated member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Honor Guard since 1960, he has placed over 900 name plaques on the VFW memorial. In addition, he has taught the VFW rifle club for over forty years. Calvin has served as a Representative, Vice Chairman, and Chairman of the Montana State Legislative Board for the Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen for fifteen years and is a committed husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

The Governor’s Office of Community Service is recognizing community volunteers at home games throughout the 2013 Griz football season.

The Governor’s Office of Community Service expands and promotes national service and volunteerism in Montana and engages citizens in service and emergency preparedness.
