Montana Energy CorpsMontana Energy Corps

  • Focus: The Energy Corps promotes sustainable energy consumption and education, fosters community sustainability and helps to mitigate the effects of global climate change.
  • Ideal For: We are looking for individuals 18 and older who work well in a team environment, can relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds, have sound organizational skills and act in a professional manner, as well as have a strong interest in energy conservation and community development.

Justice for Montanans logoJustice for Montanans Project

  • Focus: The Justice for Montanans Project empowers low to moderate income Montanans to advocate for their legal rights and increases access to justice for Montana's poor. This project places 11 members throughout Montana that help provide and expand intake, legal information and referral services for Montana's low income residents seeking legal assistance.
  • Ideal For: This program is ideal for individuals interested in serving within a legal focused program that provides legal resources and information to low-income people in Montana.

A program of Jobs for Montana’s Graduates Foundation (JMGF)
  • Focus: JMGF partners with Montana’s schools and community based organizations to offer YASC to local young adults. Members serve to meet local needs, gain skills and have fun!
  • Ideal For: This program is ideal for Montana’s young adults 17-24 interested in volunteering locally in the schools and communities where they live.

Montana Conservation Corps

Crew Leader
  • Focus: To inspire young people through hands-on conservation service to be leaders, stewards of the land, and engaged citizens who improve their communities.
  • Ideal For: Young adults from all backgrounds with an interest in conservation and public land issues and at least two years of college coursework, military service, or other equivalent work experience. Crew Leaders lead a team of young adults on conservation and community based projects.

  • Ideal For: Honorably discharged veterans of OEF and OIF from all backgrounds with an interest in professional development in conservation and public land issues.

  • Ideal For: College graduates from all backgrounds with experience in resource management or environmental education and an interest data collection, field work, and education. and at least two years of college coursework, military service, or other equivalent work experience.

Montana State Park Corps

  • Focus: Volunteer capacity building , natural and cultural resource interpretation and outdoor education.
  • Ideal For: This program is ideal for young adults 17-25 and seniors interested assisting Montana State Parks in improving volunteer services and educational programs offered in State Parks. This is an excellent opportunity for those with or working towards their degree in resource management, and environmental and cultural education and interpretation.
