2015 AmeriCorps Formula Funding

2015 AmeriCorps Formula Funding

The Montana Governor's Office of Community Service is pleased to announce the 2015 Formula AmeriCorps*State Notice of Funding Opportunity.

AmeriCorps grants are available to eligible organizations focused on solving Montana’s most pressing needs. Grant applicants design service activities for AmeriCorps members serving full- or part-time for one year or during the summer. Eligible organizations that are selected for funding implement National Service programs that utilize AmeriCorps members to impact and solve community problems through an evidence-based approach.

AmeriCorps*State Formula grants provide resources and assistance to programs to recruit, train, and supervise AmeriCorps members meeting critical community needs in the areas of Education, Disaster Services, Health, Environmental Stewardship, Economic Opportunity, and service to Veterans and Military Families.

An AmeriCorps member is an individual (recruited by an AmeriCorps grant program) who is enrolled in an approved National Service Position and engages in service. Members may receive a living allowance and other benefits while serving. Upon successful completion of their service members receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award from the National Service Trust.
