Beverly Townsend Recognized as Volunteer of the Game

HELENA, MT- The Governor’s Office of Community Service will recognize Beverly Townsend as the “Volunteer of the Game” during Thursday’s Bobcat home season opener football game.

Where: Bobcat Stadium, Bozeman

 Beverly Townsend is being recognized for her volunteerism in the Bozeman community.  For the past 35 years, she has given her talents to her sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi and contributes time weekly at the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter where she performs much needed office work to support the staff. In addition, she often serves as a host for Family Promise program participants while they are residing at her church, St. James Episcopal. Beverly has also served Montana State University as a member of the Board of Directors for the Alumni Association and Friends of the Library. Beverly Townsend strongly believes in and embodies the power and importance of volunteerism.

The Governor’s Office of Community Service is recognizing community volunteers at home games throughout the 2013 Bobcats’ football season.

The Governor’s Office of Community Service expands and promotes national service and volunteerism in Montana and engages citizens in service and emergency preparedness.
